Spring has SPRUNG
A time to be extra hoppy...I mean Happy. Besides all the chocolate and food at Easter spring has become my second favorite season. Still chilly enough to cover up with light jackets but warm enough to wear skirts/dresses again. Best part? Pastels. I love baby blue, pink, soft yellow, and of course crisp white. Leap into spring with this season essentials.
Spring means spring cleaning. Clean crisp decor is in order as well. I really love having lilies, daisies, tulips, daffodils, and white roses in my home. Along with the flowers I love fresh scented candles with lavender and lilacs. Spring is a great time to rock woven door mats as there is usually a lot of mud/dirt around spring time. The vintage home look is also still very popular for spring.
I am totally a Christmas Nut. I love everything from the knee high socks to the Christmas tree pine needles stuck in those socks. I will watch all my favorite movies, bake, and wrap till my fingers bleed. That being said our Canadian winters are long and painful; Christmas can only entertain a fraction of the snowy -40 weather we endure. So be sure to stock up on your winter wonder land essentials. Decorating your life with warm things will fight off depressive measures. Also be sure to check out my “10 Things a Woman Needs During Winter”
Note: I always decorate my home early November that way I can really bask in the holiday CHEER
NOTE: Sweater dresses are essential.
Bright lights, Winter Nights.
Never enough glitter.........
It's not just a New Years thing. Embrace the love of sparkles, and sequin over the Christmas Season.
Fall right into Autumn.....
Undeniably the best purchase for colder seasons. I don’t know about anyone else but I sweat in my leather leggings and they are tight! So I avoid warm weather when wearing them. Down fall? Sitting on cold leather seats in leather pants AH! But the look is worth the bite. I prefer my tight Wilfred leather leggings from Aritzia paired with a baggy shirt or sweater. Then I combine baggy leather pants with crop tops, body suits, t-shirts + blazer.
Deep shades of red work best for fall; paired with greys, blacks, navy blue, and dark greens.
Brisk or Warm Days; The thing about fall is one day it can be brisk and the other warm. You need to be prepared for both outcomes when leaving the house. I opt for half cut leather gloves to keep my fingers warm without looking too bundled up. If it’s a tad chilly out I will pair my blazer with a scarf.
Don't forget to Style your home as well....
